• Ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
• Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field of study and five 5 years of previous managerial experience in a food-processing environment.
• Familiarity with the Global Food Safety Initiative, either BRC, SQF or FSSC 2200
• Knowledgeable in HACCP, GMP(s), SOP(s) and Food Safety Principles.
Recent HACCP certification (5 yr.)
• Strong leadership and Management skills.

• Lead the charge for BRC qualification & passing third party audit score-as defined in the goals
• Conduct annual HACCP, Food Defense, GMP program reassessments
• Provide process reviews of new products/processes
• Provide program training material
• Support, lead and develop direct reports
• Investigate and respond to customer complaints
• Report on KPI’s within the department
• Ability to analyze data from KPI results to drive purposeful actions
• Advise/respond to any identified risk in the operation, including new equipment, process, or expansion
• Work cohesively with colleagues and regulators, address USDA inquiries, respond to NRs
• Provide timely disposition of product holds
• Operate the department within budget
• Support Operations improvement initiatives
