Job Description:
As a Civil Engineer specializing in Land Development you will play a pivotal role in transforming conceptual visions into tangible realities. Your expertise will drive the design and development of various land projects, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements, environmental considerations, and client objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Feasibility Analysis:
    • Conduct preliminary site investigations and feasibility studies to assess project viability.
    • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to define project goals and objectives.
  2. Site Design and Development:
    • Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts.
    • Integrate sustainable design principles to minimize environmental impact and enhance project sustainability.
    • Ensure compliance with local zoning regulations, land use codes, and permitting requirements.
  3. Hydrology and Stormwater Management:
    • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to assess stormwater runoff and design effective drainage solutions.
    • Develop stormwater management plans, erosion control measures, and sedimentation control strategies.
  4. Utility Infrastructure Design:
    • Design utility systems including water distribution, sanitary sewer, and stormwater conveyance networks.
    • Coordinate utility designs with municipal agencies, utility providers, and other engineering disciplines.
  5. Construction Oversight and Quality Assurance:
    • Provide construction administration support, including reviewing contractor submittals and responding to RFIs.
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, standards, and best practices.
  6. Project Management and Client Relations:
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
    • Foster positive client relationships through regular communication, project updates, and responsiveness to client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
